Chef Roy Yamaguchi, honorary board member of Imua Family Services, was named Humanitarian of the Year by the Maui Non-Profit Directors Association for his support of the nonprofit agency that provides early childhood development services for those with disabilities.
This was an event with a capital E, showcasing an international collection of chefs, some with celebrity power as great as the movie stars who frequent their restaurants.
It’s been already five years that Roy Yamaguchi has been offering Manhattanites such comfort by bringing “the crown jewel of Honolulu’s East-West eateries” (per Food & Wine) to our city.
